Pennant AI Loan Application Flow
This project focused on creating an AI chat based loan application, one of India’s leading financial technology solutions provider.
The objective was to create a seamless, simple form filling experience that is delightful to the user without the usual friction of multi step processes and uploads.

Navigating New Ground
Designing a loan journey through an AI chat interface required us to rethink a traditional form-based experience.
Instead of asking users to move across multiple pages, the flow keeps everything inside one guided assistant. Users can respond naturally, upload documents when required, review extracted information, track completion, and continue the application without losing context.
This helped create a product experience that feels less like filling a form and more like being guided by a smart financial assistant
Key Challenges
Complexity Meets Clarity
Challenges
- Loan applications usually involve too many fields, repeated inputs, document uploads, verification steps, and unclear progress.
- Users may not always know which documents are required, why certain information is being asked, or how close they are to completing the process.
- Financial checks such as CIBIL score, income, obligations, bank statements, and eligibility can feel complicated when shown without proper guidance.
Solutions
- Introduced a conversational application assistant that asks for details step by step and keeps the user focused on one action at a time.
- Created a document bay where PAN, Aadhaar, address proof, salary slips, and bank statements are clearly grouped and tracked.
- Added smart prompts, validation states, OTP verification, progress indicators, pending questions, and document-reading feedback to improve trust and transparency.
- Designed eligibility and loan-offer screens that convert financial data into clear options with amount, EMI, tenure, and interest rate.

More Than Just AI
The design direction combines a clean fintech interface with a warm conversational layer. The landing screen introduces the product with a simple promise: personal loans made easy, quick, safe, and secure.
Inside the application journey, the UI avoids overwhelming the user by using whitespace, clear cards, soft status colors, structured panels, and focused chat interactions. The result is a digital loan experience that feels simple for users while still handling the complexity of financial verification in the background.
